About me

I have always been curious about what makes a person whole, and how to bring our parts (mind, body, emotions and spirit) into balance and harmony. It is not a path to perfection, but a path towards understanding yourself.

Why I work as a therapist

The relationships we have with people can hurt us and they can heal us.

As a therapist, I create a space for personal healing.

My path

After completing my studies in Croatian language and literature, I enrolled in and completed the four-year training as a Gestalt psychotherapist at Psihika d.o.o. EAPTI. Further training followed, earning the title of Master of Psychotherapy at EAPTI-GPTIM, Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute Malta. At the Institute I also completed a specialisation as a supervisor across different modalities.

Further training in working with traumatic experiences followed, EMDR levels 1 and 2, along with training in complex trauma.

A person carries within them their own destruction or their own creation. A person has the potential to move in either direction.

What I bring to the work

My way of working is warm and supportive, grounded in trust and acceptance. I adapt my approach to each person and draw on a range of techniques.

Human contact

Warmth, empathy, understanding and acceptance, without judgement.

A real relationship

I work in a genuine relationship, in a safe and confidential space.

Depth and ethics

A process that goes deep, held by professional ethics and supervision.

Thoughts I carry with me

Tamara Dukić on a bench

I especially love working with dreams. We read them as authentic, unconscious messages through which we discover what the dream (the unconscious) is trying to tell us.

We suffer when we realise we don't have something we want, or when we become aware of a loss; when what we receive is too far from what we expected, and when we believe it is too late for some things.
The Way of TearsJorge Bucay
Healing comes when the parts of you that froze in an experience are freed from their task of feeding the trauma and gradually thaw. As they thaw, you can regain fluidity and restore your functioning.
