How I work.

What is hard to put into words is often easier to show.

In my work I use hand-painted figurines and picture cards. They give shape to what we carry inside, so we can set it in front of us and look at it from a new side.

A grandmother with glasses
A man in a suit
A mother holding a baby
A girl in a pink kimono
A boy in green

Figurines

Hand-painted figurines help family and relationship dynamics become visible. We place them on the table, look at how they relate and how far apart they stand, and notice what changes when just one of them moves.

A smiling flowerpot full of flowers
A man on a rock and a white bird
Scales
A fish trap with a small fish
A tree, half in blossom, half bare
A clown
Hands tied with a red bow
A couple holding hands, each lost in their own thoughts
A girl with balloons, and one balloon drifting away
A cake with candles and a clover

Cards

Picture cards open the door to feelings and memories we don’t yet have words for. The image you choose becomes the start of a conversation.
